One of the best things about living in Texas is sunshine. April being April, however, we're getting rain. Texas being Texas, we don't get gentle rain--we get windy downpours. Later today, in fact, we're expecting thunderstorms.
The rain brings flowers...and weeds.
The weeds in my yard are on a mission to overtake the grass, so I did some pruning and weeding yesterday. I filled one full and another half-filled garbage bag with yard stuff, and I barely made a dent. The weeds are winning the battle.
We do, however, have some spring flowers.
Grape Hyacinths
Daffodils
And a ring of pretty weeds...

I will battle the weeds another day, but for now, I'll enjoy the flowers.
