We're in the early days of September, and most people around the US are starting to enjoy cooler temps and preparing to see the leaves change.
Texas doesn't believe in that sort of nonsense. I'm going to swim later today, and the pool's water is bathtub-temp. I'm actually happy about the warm water. Frigid and I don't get along.
Still, I miss the changing of the leaves. In my world, the leaves go from yellow to brown and then drop--in November.
Good things are happening this month, however, starting with my friend and fellow author, Amanda Reid, having a new #EnchantedRockImmortals release--The Gargoyle Affair!

The story...
Starting over had never looked so tempting...
Empath Tabby McBee should be concentrating on starting over after divorce devastated her finances, cost her employment, and shattered her trust. Her neglected garden needs attention, not Fernald Grayson, a stoic gargoyle she doesn't want to admit is eminently trustworthy and devastatingly handsome.
Fernald Grayson's newfound freedom from his family and fae lord is growing on him. So is beautiful, vivacious Tabitha, but this human paranormal is so far out of his league, he can only desire her from afar...until a series of accidents befalls the lovely empath and he vows to keep her safe.
Soon, the strange occurrences become dangerous, random attacks. When love is on the line, Tabby and Fernald must learn to trust once more before their flowering feelings are cruelly nipped in the bud.
Note: I've read this book, one of the positives of being on the team is we get a sneak peek, and I highly recommend The Gargoyle Affair. Get your copy today!
