In breaking news, two of my books are finalists in the National Excellence in Romantic Fiction Award contest!
I'll be honest--I almost didn't enter the contest. Why? Because the novella category included ALL genres of novellas, and, frankly, my genre rarely wins against a contemporary romance. #ParanormalRomance has a more specific reader pool, so to have two out of the three finalists in the category be my books?
Priceless. Humbling. And I'm grateful.
I'm also a finalist in The Carolyn Readers Choice Award contest and should hear soon if I've won. In my mind, I already have--readers choose who makes it into the final round. Having readers pick me is award enough.

Here's more about my two finalist books:
Aliases, Artifacts, and Attraction: A Love Story
Two secret identities.
Two reasons to hide.
The truth will either tear them apart or lead their entwined fates to love.
Starr Sparkles is on a mission. She’s using a secret identity while searching for an artifact to amplify her unique confessor magic and reclaim her normal, safe life. Otherwise, law enforcement wants her to devote her existence to seeking justice, no matter the personal and physical consequences to her and her family—and criminals want the Sparkles family dead.
Unfortunately, her best shot to save her family is to deal with the grumpy local antiquities dealer. Expecting to find the usual cranky shop owner, she instead encounters brawny and handsome Frank Baer. He’s knowledgeable, intelligent, and flirtatious…everything she hoped she’d find in a fated mate…and the kind of man who could distract her from her plans. Her life doesn’t allow time for love.
When Frank’s mage skills reveal her true identity, his public exposure puts her and her family at risk. A lethal criminal organization attacks Frank and Starr, driving the two to work together to combat the illegal outfit. After Frank’s secret self is bared, will their initial attraction turn to hate, or will fate forge the relationship into love?
If you enjoy paranormal romances with magic, action, fated mates, and secret identities, you’ll love Aliases, Artifacts, and Attraction: A Love Story, an Enchanted Rock Immortals world novella!
Mistletoe, Merriment, and Murder: A Love Story
Nothing says the holidays like a sexy succubus, an intriguing incubus, their chance encounter under the mistletoe…and murder.
If you love a paranormal romance holiday story with a bit of soul-sucking seasonal joy, then Mistletoe, Merriment, and Murder: A Love Story is for you:
Elise Stewart loves a festive party, especially one involving mistletoe. Since she’s a rule-following, government-regulated succubus, holiday get-togethers are the only splurge where she allows herself to kiss people…and sip a bit of their souls. This year’s most anticipated soiree provides an extra gift when she meets a devastatingly handsome male version of her kind, incubus Kurt Wilder.
Kurt, a psychologist recently hired to work at Enchanted Rock, is residing in Elise and her mother’s carefully controlled feeding territories. The council restructures their hunting grounds for the newcomer, and Kurt gains the most population from which to feed, leaving the Stewarts with small, life-threatening zones…and a lot of questions. Elise suspects there’s more to Kurt’s recruitment than the council reveals, but she can’t fight the delicious magic she and Kurt create together.
Bodies begin to amass around town. The corpses’ husks bear the distinct signature of a soul-stealing predator, and the Stewarts are targeted as prime suspects. Can Elise trust Kurt to help prove her family’s innocence, or is the man she’s growing to love, in fact, the savage killer?
