I've never been one for New Year's Eve parties--they're an introvert nightmare--or for resolutions, because they've never seemed measurable / actionable.
What I am a big fan of, however, is GOALS.
I love to goal set.
I used to teach time management and goal setting for a large corporation, and the tactics I learned are firmly ingrained in my brain.
Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, and Time-Based. S-M-A-R-T goals.
I took a class in December on goal setting, and the presenter suggested keeping it simple at three broad goals (with measurable subgoals created to achieve these goals.)
My three broad goals:
Fear not, dear reader. I have a spreadsheet of SMART goals to back up each of these three broad goals. As you do.
