Drought and Rain and Writing
I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. We've had one of the hottest summers on record, with over fifty days of 100+ degree heat.
Behold my lawn...
August is usually our hottest and driest month. Instead, we've received RAIN!
The skies opened up...
And we went from rain to torrential downpour to flooding...
If I were a philosopher, I'd make some wise correlation between the droughts when writing and the glorious moments when the words pour like the driving rains from the heavens.
Instead, I'm just happy my grass no longer crunches when I take a walk.
